The information so given is just for facilitating the students for searching need based Scholarships, if required. Jammu &Kashmir
Special Scholarship Scheme

To provide tuition fees, hostel fees, cost of books and other incidental charges to students belonging to Jammu & Kashmir who, after passing Class XII or equivalent examination, secure admission in Government colleges/institutions and other select institutions outside the State of Jammu & Kashmir.

Students belonging to the State of Jammu & Kashmir, appearing for the Class XII or equivalent exam through the State Board of Jammu & Kashmir and from Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) affiliated schools located in Jammu & Kashmir, pursuing general degree courses, engineering and medical studies in govt. colleges/ institutes/ other non-govt. institutes recognized by AICTE or UGC, or institutes created through an Act of the State Govt., located outside the State of Jammu & Kashmir, would be eligible for scholarship under this scheme. Students pursing ‘Integrated Courses’ in such colleges/institutes where the scheme is applicable, would be eligible for scholarship for the duration of the course.

Maulana Azad National Scholarship

To recognize, promote and assist meritorious Girl students belonging to National Minorities who cannot continue their education without financial support.

Only Girl Students belonging to National Minorities, (i.e. Muslims, Christians, Buddhists, Sikhs, Parsis) can apply
Should have secured not less than 55% marks (in aggregate) in the secondary school certificate examination (Class xth) conducted by any recognized Centre/State Board of Secondary Education.
Family income of the student from all sources should be less than Rs. 1,00,000/- (Rupees one lakh only) in the preceding financial year
A student getting a scholarship from any other source would not be eligible for this Scholarship.

Post Matric Scholarships for Scheduled Castes /Scheduled Tribes Students

The Post Matric Scholarships enables a considerable number of Scheduled Caste students to obtain post-matric and higher level of education resulting in their overall educational and economic development.

The scholarships are open to nationals of India.
These scholarships will be given for the study of all recognized post-matriculation or post-secondary courses pursued in recognized institutions
Only those candidates who belong to Scheduled Castes so specified in relation to the State/Union Territory to which the applicant actually belongs

Merit cum means based scholarship to students belonging to minority communities

The objective of the Scheme is to provide financial assistance to
the poor and meritorious students belonging to minority communities to enable them to pursue professional and technical courses.

Students, who have got admission in a recognized college to pursue technical/professional courses, without facing any competitive examination, will also be eligible for scholarship.  However, such students should have not less than 50% marks at higher secondary/graduation level. Selection of these students will be done strictly of merit.
A scholarship holder under this scheme will not avail any other scholarship/stipend for pursuing the course.
The annual family income of the beneficiary/parent or guardian of the beneficiary should not exceed Rs.2.50 lakh per annum from all sources.
A student residing in a particular State/UT will be entitled for scholarship under    the quota of that State/UT only irrespective of his place of study.
