Electronics and Communication Engineering has gained importance in recent years due to its versatile application in every facet of engineering field. It mainly deals with the principles of electronic devices and communication technologies along with the basic electronic components, design of circuits and systems. The branch also has very close link with the field of Computer Engineering and Information Technology. We hold firm belief in our ability to succeed, and we nurture an attitude of self-reliance, confidence, commitment, and responsibility to the motherland that we are to serve. The Department of ECE, at AITS, has a fine blend of young and dynamic faculties and is involved in providing quality education and research in the field. The syllabi of the courses are continuously updated and the laboratories modernized to reflect the rapid changes in technology. The department offers a wide range of courses, which addresses all of the major subject areas underpinning the new communication era. Modern teaching is ensured to offer high-quality undergraduate B.Tech. Students.
In order to cope with the vision, the Department has following well equipped, technologically-advanced laboratories.
The Department Of Electronics Engineering has Electrical & Electronics Lab. For all the branches of First Year and Electronic workshop in Second year. The purpose of this lab is to give the basic knowledge of Electrical & Electronics Engineering aspects. The facilities available in this Laboratory are listed below:
Basic and advanced equipments required to perform experiments like as:
Keeping in pace with the rapidly expanding field of micro controllers the experiments in this lab strengthen the concepts of interfacing, data transfer, as well as functions of various components as:
Electronics department has equipments and setup for basic and general electronics circuits for study analysis & design like as:
The Lab is well equipped with both hardware and software facilities required by the students to perform the necessary experiments designed for this lab. In this lab, we are having so many simulation Softwares like ORCAD, PSPICE , MULTISIM, Xilinx and MATLAB Softwares. Experiments are designed in such a way that the students become well aware of the concepts they learn in the theory sessions Experiments are related to both digital hardware and Verilog Programming.

The Microwave lab in the Electronics Department is to Design, analysis, optimization, fabrication and characterization of miniaturized RF and microwave components and devices based on new breakthroughs in microwave theory and techniques .Microwave components and systems have made a great impact on our society with the rapid proliferation of various consumer products. In this context, the Microwave Laboratory at the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, is motivated to work towards the design and analysis of microwave circuits, components and sub-systems including micro machined devices for RF, microwave, millimeter wave applications. Micro machined antennas, phase shifters, and filters, Klystron and Gunn Power supply, spectrum analyzer , are some such components. In addition we are involved in the design of RF MEMS switches for space applications and a low cost option for such devices.
The Industrial electronics laboratory is intended specifically to meet the needs of modern courses in power electronics.
It includes the following kits of Power Electronics:
Some of the major instruments and equipment in the Department are Digital storage oscilloscope to 100MHz (with FFT function), cathode ray oscilloscope, LCR-Q meter, digital labs, analog labs, Spectrum Analyzer, function generators, pulse and data generators, advance microprocessor & microcontrollers trainer kits, a number of analog and digital trainer kits, AM, FM, PWM, PPM, TDM/PCM, Microwave benches and many other communication trainer kits, FM and VCD player and many other trainer kits.
