Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering was established in the year 2008 for imparting a state-of the- art and quality education, training and research in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering and allied areas. The department offers a Bachelor’s program with an initial intake of 60 students in the year 2008, and Master’s programmes in Digital Communication with an intake of 24 students.
Well Equipped labs and the infrastructure are regularly upgraded not only to serve the purpose of the curriculum prescribed but also facilitate to carry out innovative projects to challenge the fast-changing needs of the society besides undertaking R&D activities in various fields. We provide a very informal atmosphere between faculty and students. ECE department has always been known for creating an ambience where scholarship flourishes. Faculty members of our department are not only engaged in trending technology research but are also very passionate about teaching and learning process.
Faculty and students of ECE are encouraged to do NPTEL certifications in various subjects and few of them got Top 1%, Top 2% and Top 5% and many got ELITE.
The VISION of Electronics and Communication Engineering Department is to Educate & train the students to have in-depth knowledge of the subjects in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering thereby making them develop confidence for R & D activities and placement in multinational and national companies so that the students will be of immediate use to industry, nation and mankind.
PEO1: To continuously improve results, and employments through campus.
PEO2:Include professionalism through society activities like IEEE and IETE and impart knowledge in the area of Electronics and Communication Engineering.
PEO3:To augment industry-institute collaboration for activities such as In-plant training, industrial visits and sponsored research.
PEO4:To provide placement opportunities for all the eligible graduating students of the Department.
PEO5:To enhance research and consultancy activities in the Department.
PEO6:To improve the quality and quantity of papers published in Internationals Journals and Conferences.
The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) has consistently maintained an exemplary academic record. The greatest asset of the department is it’s highly motivated and learned faculty. The available diversity of expertise of the faculty with the support of the other staff prepares the students to work in the global multicultural environment. The graduates of the Electronics & Communication Stream have been selected by some of the leading Software Industries. The goal of the department is to satisfy the need of the industry and research organizations by producing informative and committed engineers. This is achieved by imparting in depth theoretical knowledge during the lectures followed by hands-on in state-of-the-art laboratories. The department is also offering value added courses on variety of domains which are required to improvise the professional qualities of the budding engineers. All these become true only by the qualified and experienced faculties of the department. The Department not only aims to make our students technically sound and knowledgeable but also to nurture their wisdom and make them a better and responsible human being. We hope that we will continue to deliver our best to serve the society and mankind. It is also expected that our students will continue to pass on the skills which they have developed during their stay at this department to the whole of the world for a better society.
